Point Linux 3.0 beta 1 overview

This release is intended for testing purposes only. Please do not use it in production environments!

Target audience: Experienced users and business/IT sector
Based on: Debian 8 (jessie)
Kernel: 3.11-2
DE: Mate 1.6.0
DM: LightDM
Distro format: LiveCD/USB, LiveDVD/USB
Supported architectures: i386 (i686-pae), amd64
Distro language: English in Live Session, Localized during the HD installation.
Installer: GUI Point Linux Installer 0.17

Known issues and limitations

Update Manager (GUI) not implemented
Fast User Switch not implemented
Vino not implemented
Compiz is not present due to its incompatibility with MATE 1.6
CUPS doesn't show shared network printers (CUPS bug)
Multiple Caja windows open on first start (MATE bug)
Point Linux Installer doesn't turn on screen locking if autologin is off
